Computer Lab Workshop: Smartphone Basics

The Alameda Free Library is pleased to present a workshop in August covering the basics of smartphone use. This series will consist of two separate sessions. The first, will be held on August 7, 2019 at 6p-7:30p will be targeted for basic use of the Android operating system. Please sign up to the appropriate session if you have a phone/tablet that is run on this system. The second session, to be held on August 14, 2019 at 6p-7:30p will cover the basics of the Apple iOS (iPhone/iPad) system. We’ll cover the basics of text messaging, downloading apps, using the free e-library resources that come with your library card, as well as setting up your e-mail account on your phones.  Each session will be in a lecture/open question format, and based on your personal devices. Please bring smart devices as well as knowledge of your e-mail addresses and passwords to those accounts as we may need those to sign up to download apps.
