Crafternoon

Join us for a virtual afternoon of crafts on Zoom! Follow along with Ms. Andie as she demonstrates crafts made from common items found at home. A new craft will be presented every 45 minutes, so feel free to drop in and out.
Best for children going into grades 4 to 8.

    Crafts From the pantry!

    2pm: Laundry Soap Bottle Animal Planters!

Supplies:

  • empty and clean laundry detergent bottle (Please contact the library if you need a bottle. aflsummerreading@gmail.com)
  • sharp scissors
  • permanent markers
  • a pencil. 

2:45pm: Egg Carton Animal Portraits!

Supplies

  • empty, clean paper egg carton
  • a clean piece of cardboard, no bigger than 6”x 6” (Please contact the library if you need an egg carton or a piece of cardboard. aflsummerreading@gmail.com)
  • scissors
  • glue
  • a pencil
  • tempura or acrylic paints
  • permanent or felt tip markers. 
  • colorful paper or fabric scraps (optional)

3:30pm: DIY Paper Cactus!

Supplies:

  •  clean yogurt cup or toilet paper roll
  • scissors
  • cardboard cereal, popsicle, or snack box (Please contact the library if you need a yogurt container or box. aflsummerreading@gmail.com)
  • tempura or acrylic paints
  • glue
  • a pencil
  • and permanent or felt tip markers.
