8/17: Ninja Stress Ball

Enjoy a quick tutorial from the Alameda Free Library on how to make a ninja stress ball.
Materials needed: 2 latex balloons (1 white and 1 any other color as long as it's different),
1/2 cup of any kind of small bean, seed or short grain rice (split peas and lentils work as well),
a good pair of scissors,
a plastic sandwich bag
a ballpoint pen.

8/24: Let's Make a Book Hedgehog!

Learn how to fold the pages of an old magazine or book into a cute creature!
You'll need an old magazine or book, some googly eyes, a pom pom, a little glue, scissors (optional), and your imagination (required). A great activity to keep your hands busy while listening to an audiobook!
