Zine Collection
Zines are typically shortform, self-published content distributed through noncommercial means.
The Alameda Free Library collects zines from local, national, and international creators. Our collection is located on the 2nd Floor of the Main Library. Cataloged zines are available for a 3-week loan period and can be returned to any Library branch.
We also operate a small take-a-zine, leave-a-zine distro on the 2nd Floor in the stacks.
If you would like to donate a copy of your zine to add to the distro, please contact the Programming Librarian:
Zines will be reviewed and added to the distro per Library staff discretion. Library staff decisions are final. Because of the volume of zine submissions to the Library, individual submissions will not receive follow-up beyond an initial acknowledgement of receipt.
