Lawyers in the Library - Brief one-on-one legal consultations with volunteer attorneys on a range of issues. Usually held at local libraries, but offered by phone during Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Legal Access Alameda - Weekly & monthly legal clinics, Saturday legal assistance programs, and a variety of affordable legal services for Alameda County residents. Also partners with the library for Lawyers in the Library program.


Centro Legal de la Raza - Free legal services to low-income Alameda tenants. Assistance with immigration, tenants’ rights, workers’ rights, consumer protection, family law and workers’ compensation for immigrant, low-income and Latino communities. 


Legal Assistance for Seniors at Mastick Senior Center - Meet with an attorney on the 3rd Monday of the month, 1:00-3:00 p.m. for brief legal advice. Appointment required. Call 510-832-3040 to set up an appointment. 


Alameda County Family Justice Center - Crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, case management, legal and housing assistance are among the services for victims of interpersonal violence. 


Alameda County Law Library - Resources and skilled staff to assist members of the public, attorneys and non-attorneys alike, with accessing legal information. 


Bay Area Legal Aid Society - Free assistance with a range of legal issues, public benefits, housing rights and health care access for low income Bay Area residents. 


California Superior Court, County of Alameda, Self-help and Family Law Services - Workshops, information and assistance with divorce; child support; child custody and visitation; guardianship; name changes; gender changes; small claims; eviction defense and restraining orders. 


Disability Rights California - Legal advice or representation for people with disabilities as well as investigation of abuse and neglect. 


East Bay Community Law Center - Legal services on a range of issues including criminal justice; economic justice; consumer issues; juvenile justice; health and welfare; housing and immigration for low income communities.


Homeless Action Center - Free legal assistance with public benefits for people who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or mentally ill.
