SRP Bookmark Contest 2024

Bookmark Design Contest entries must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30, 2024 to the Check Out desk at any Alameda Free Library location. Entries will be judged according to four age categories:

• ages 5-8

• ages 9-11

• ages 12-18

• 19+

Winners will be announced in early May. All entries submitted by people under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian signature for the artwork to be entered into the Bookmark Design Contest.

Contest Rules:

• Designs must be original and must fit the slogan “Adventure Begins at Your Library ” or celebrates books, reading, and libraries.

• Designs may be either horizontal or vertical. Use the bookmark space provided and turn in the whole form intact.

• Any 2D art medium may be used (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.). Please no computer generated images or 3D materials (glitter, glued items, etc.).

• Do not write your name or place any other identifying marks on the bookmark itself.

• Do not use copyrighted characters, logos, clip art, etc.

• Judges will select winners based on originality, creativity, reproducibility, and neatness.

• All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 30th.

• Only one entry per person will be accepted and decisions of the judges are final.

• All entries become the property of Alameda Free Library and may be reproduced for public distribution, displayed in the library, and posted to the library's social media channels and website. Alameda Free Library may use each winner's name, design, and photo for publicity purposes.
